"But the Angel said to them "Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you Good News of Great Joy which will be for All the People;"" As believers in Christ, we hold fast to Luke 2:10, that God is good news that brings great joy which is for all people! As Navigators, we don't want to keep this to ourselves! Our prayer is that this conference will help you learn more about Gospel and why it's good news to us and why it brings joy as well as how we can bring this good news to our neighbors, campuses, and the world. We hope that this will happen as you join us in worship, learn from our speaker, interact in workshops, and engage with the community around you!

Ignite 2026 Keynote Speaker / Ben Nugent
Collegiate Mission Director Ben Nugent met Christ late in high school and met The Navigators his first day at Illinois State University. He and his wife, Melissa, met at a Navigator summer training program at Glen Eyrie in 1996 and were married in 1998.
Ben and Melissa served at Colorado State University in Fort Collins from 1999 to 2006, then at the University of Florida in Gainesville until 2015. Ben also served as a Collegiate regional director while in Florida, then moved to the Midwest in 2015 to serve as director of the Heartland region. Ben was appointed director of Navigators 20s in 2017, then became the national Collegiate director in 2019 and Melissa now serves as the Collegiate operations manager.
Ben and Melissa have adopted two beautiful children: Vivian, age 16, and Sam, who went to be with the Lord in 2023, at the age of 15. In his free time, Ben enjoys golfing, skiing, finding the perfect chocolate malt, and eating anything “Chicago style.” The Nugent's have a heart to see healthy people on healthy teams leading healthy ministries. They are passionate to help develop, train, raise up, and pray for lifelong laborers.
